Install MS Dial-Up Networking 1.4 Update:

MSDUN 1.4 is required for 128-bit encryption and MSCHAP V2 protocol.

Go to My Computer and double-click Dial-Up Networking. Double-click Make New Connection.

Type in the name of the connection. For the device, select Microsoft VPN Adapter. (Note: if you do not see Microsoft VPN Adapter in the list, then the correct version of Dial-Up Networking is not installed.

Fill in the (Host) name or IP address of the VPN or PPTP server you are connecting to. You will find this on your VPN Information Sheet. Click Next. Then click Finish.

Now you should see the connection you just made in the Dial-Up Networking Folder. Right-click the connection and select Properties.

Select the Server Types tab and leave all the checks default. Click the TCP/IP Settings button. Check Server assigned IP address and Server assigned name server addresses. Click OK.

Double-click the PPTP VPN Connection in the Dial-Up Networking folder.

Type your User name and Password - this should be your VPN user name and password, which you should get from us. You can choose to check the Save Password box if you wish. Click Connect.

You should see the Connecting to PPTP VPN Connection screen.

After you successfully connect, you will see the Connection Established screen. Click Close. Now you should be able to browse the network as if you were at the office.
